Dr Aoife McMahon graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St. Thomas’ Medical School, King’s College London in 2007. Following Foundation Year training in the South East, she returned to Manchester where she trained in Psychiatry, specialising in Old Age Psychiatry since 2013.
She currently works as a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry in Stockport, supporting the Community Mental Health Team, Memory Assessment Service and In-Patient Team. Prior to this, she has worked as an In-Patient Consultant in a specialist unit for patients suffering with advanced dementia. She has been a keen teacher and trainer, and with a keen interest in staff wellbeing and peer support.
