Every case is unique and requires a tailored diagnostic approach. The first step, if you or someone close to you is experiencing or suspecting some form of cognitive impairment, is to get in touch with us to discuss the issues you are facing and to determine the best way forward.
If appropriate, you will be designated a Halcyon Doctor who could either be a Consultant Psychiatrist, Neurologist or Geriatrician, depending on your specific symptoms and situation. The doctor conducts an initial consultation which lasts up to 90 minutes and forms the basis for the diagnosis.
The assessment process is concluded with a formal diagnosis comprising a clear explanation of your condition and, if appropriate, a bespoke treatment plan. We aim to send you the diagnostic report within one week of completing the assessment.

Halcyon Doctors and their multidisciplinary team of Clinical Psychologists, Specialist Nurses and Therapists excel in treating a broad range of conditions, alleviating symptoms and maximising your overall health and wellbeing.
Following diagnosis, a Halcyon Doctor will carefully consider your specific symptoms, as well as your preferences, discussing them with the multidisciplinary team if required. A proposed treatment and care plan will then be discussed with you, and with your agreement, your Halcyon Doctor will personally oversee it to ensure consistency of care.
Your Halcyon Doctor can arrange for most prescribed medication to be delivered to London postcodes within a matter of hours, or elsewhere in the UK by the next working day.
If you choose this free, convenient and discrete service, the doctor will electronically instruct our partner organisation Pharmacierge, who in turn will call you to take payment for your medication and arrange prompt delivery.
That’s all there is to it.
Alternatively, in case you prefer to use your local pharmacy, our doctor can give you a paper prescription at the end of your appointment.
