Consultant Psychiatrist MB BS, MRC Psych Covering: Surrey and the South East of England Dr Kit Akass graduated with his medical degree from the University of East Anglia in 2012. Following completing Foundation Training in York and North Lincolnshire he completed his core psychiatry in North Yorkshire before competing Higher Specialist Training in General Adult Psychiatry with an endorsement in Liaison Psychiatry in the South West London and St George’s scheme. He acted up as a consultant in an Early Intervention in Psychosis service before completing his training. Since completing his training in August 2020 he has worked as a consultant liaison psychiatrist at St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey. As part of his NHS role he works sees a wide variety of presentations, including perinatal psychiatry, eating disorders and neuropsychiatric presentations.
