Dr Sukran Altun qualified as a doctor in 2009, after obtaining a medical degree from the University of Southampton. Prior to her career in Psychiatry, Dr Altun qualified as a General Practitioner in 2014.
Dr Altun later decided to pursue a career in Psychiatry. She completed her psychiatric training in South London and Maudsley and East London Foundation Trusts. Dr Altun has a CCT (certificate of completion of training) in Old Age Psychiatry. Dr Altun has been working as a Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist for the NHS since August 2023, and is currently working in Essex Partnership University Trust. Dr Altun is fluent in both English and Turkish languages, and will be happy to conduct assessments in either language.
