Each service comprises the appointment time as well as a significant amount of time outside the appointment (“additional consultant time”). The additional consultant time includes, but is not limited to, reading background information, liaising with the Solicitor and/or family members, drafting a full report, and/or completing a CoP3 Form or LPA Certificate, and/or witnessing a Will.

*Time spent over and above the agreed allocation of Additional Consultant Time may be charged separately at £250 per hour. Any subsequent charges will be discussed with you in advance.
A retrospective capacity assessment is conducted when a past decision is legally challenged in the present on the grounds of supposed lack of capacity at the time that decision was taken. An example of this is Contentious Probate, where the validity of someone’s Will is contested at the point of execution.
